The goal of a diamond is to take light from the environment, and to render it to the viewer in a very pleasing way. In an office with bright lights, the diamond needs to shine with white light. In a dimly lit restaurant, the one ray of white light entering the diamond needs to return a full rainbow of colors to the viewer. When moving a diamond it has to sparkle constantly. An Infinity Diamond is cut to exact specifications to insure optimum light performance. Infinity Diamonds are cut with a focus on "edge to edge" light performance making them look larger, brighter, and whiter than their counterparts.

Infinity Diamonds achieve a cutting precision superior to more than 99% of all other cutters, including other "Super Ideal" Hearts-and-Arrows brands. "Hearts-and-Arrows" refers to a pattern visible in a diamond of 8 arrows in one direction and 8 hearts in the other direction when the diamond is viewed through a special viewer. The pattern is a sign of the extreme symmetry with which the diamond is cut.

The AGS (American Gemological Society) was the first to cogently define a Cut Grade, and are still considered to be the most stringent of the major labs in detailing cut quality. All Infinity Diamonds achieve the A.G.S. "0" Ideal grade in light performance, and also score "Excellent" in proportion from the G.I.A. (Gemological Institute of America)

AGS is the only lab to grade Princess Cut proportions. Infinity Diamonds is also the only cutter to offer a true "Super Ideal" Princess Cut, with a focus on superior symmetry and edge-to-edge light performance as demonstrated by viewing through an Idealscope.
